Montana has it all, big Sky Country, fabulous fly fishing, but…..Caramels?
Yep…Caramels! I love Montana and it will always have a special place in my heart, especially Bozeman. It helps when one of your best friends lives there, it gives me a good reason to visit. Bozeman is a beautiful town and if you haven’t been, I suggest you add it to your “Places to Visit” list.
In the summer months, you can check out Music on Main. They close down Main St. and the shops are open, street vendors selling food and local bands performing. They have art walks, farmer’s markets, world class fly fishing, river rafting, hiking and biking. If you love caramels, you need to check out Bequet Confectioner’s to your list, who knew?
Honestly, I love caramels and there are none better in my book. Located just outside of town you will find the boutique operation of hand crafted caramels. From the minute you walk through the front door, the sweet, buttery smell of caramels will suck you in and you’ll never want to leave. You can watch the process through several windows allowing a glimpse into the process and don’t forget to shop in the small retail shop.
The caramels make great gifts. For a small company, Bequet offers quite a few incredible flavors, vanilla butter, chocolate, chipotle, celtic sea salt, espresso, salt chocolate, butterscotch, green apple, cinnamon swirl and salted mocha.
My favorites are Celtic Sea Salt, so buttery with a touch of salted crunch. Chipotle is creamy, buttery and gives just a kick of spicy chipotle. The Green Apple, Mmmmm…buttery, sweet and sour.
My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I can feel a Montana road trip coming.
